Hey there! If you’re familiar with my site and my writing than your familiar with the short stories listed here. If you’re a fan or if your interested I have good news; the compilation book is finally ready!

When I originally wrote the stories, I challenged myself to step out of my comfort zone to write different genres. I had to fracture my creativity and rebuild it into something different. I came away from the experience with confidence I hadn’t had before. As a writer, I felt stronger and more courageous pushing myself to write something unconventional. This is what led me to expand on the Wings writing prompt, which, as you know, became Chrysalis of Change. The stories will always hold a special place in my heart. They kept me from giving up on writing. To honor that, I’ve expanded some to make them longer and have compiled them into this book.

Here is the official blurb:

Blurb:
Have you ever encountered a writing prompt or a question that made your mind wander? You ask, what would I do in that situation? This kind of thinking forced the author to fracture her creativity into something different.

In Fractured, you will find twenty prompts that were answered in the form of a short story. These stories cross genres from romance, young adult, science fiction, and horror to give you a taste of everything.
Here are a few examples of what to expect.

You’ve been sketching your soulmate’s face since you were old enough to pick up a pencil. The drawings become more realistic through the years as the day you meet comes closer.
• Your father is forcing you to marry someone you have never met. The night before your wedding, you tie your sheets together and make your escape through the window. Halfway down, you make eye contact with someone doing the exact same thing a few windows over.
• One winter day, you ventured out despite your parents’ warnings. The air was crisp and dry, so much so that the skin on your palms cracked. A drop of blood fell to the ground and, almost instantly, red flowers bloomed from where it landed.
• This is an emergency alert. Barricade all entries to your house. Do not go outside after sundown. Restrict contact with others. Do not enter tunnels during the daytime. Do not make any light or noise between 6 pm and 8 am. Stay inside your homes until dawn. Military aid is unavailable. Good luck!
• Now that all the humans are hiding indoors, the average forest animals aren’t the only ones coming out of the woods.
